The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) announced yesterday night that the proxy reservations for COVID-19 vaccination will be suspended to prevent overloading and errors in the reservation system.

Therefore, students MUST have a mobile phone number in their name so that they can complete personal verification while registering for the vaccination. For students who do not have a Korean cell phone number, please visit a nearby mobile phone store and purchase USIM to create a cell phone number. A passport and ARC are required to activate a USIM.

Due to the ban on the proxy reservation, “Proxy Reservation by Student Affairs Division” that we offered as one of the reservation options is no longer available.

Please refer to the information below for the vaccination registration.

5. IMPORTANT NOTE

- Dormitory Check-out Schedule
· For students whose studies end in August, it is not possible to extend their dormitory residence due to the vaccination and must complete the check-out within the designated period.

- Termination of your VISA
· Students who end their studies in August must leave Korea within the designated departure period regardless of the secondary vaccination schedule. For inquiries related to this, please contact the immigration office (Call Center 1345)

- Academic Schedule
· If you get this vaccine, it will be automatically assigned by your secondary vaccination date. Please consider the beginning of Fall Semester(September 13) as the secondary vaccination date is about three or four weeks after the first vaccination date.

· If your second vaccination date overlaps with your class schedule, please contact your professor and ask if you can replace the missed class with a recorded video and get accepted for attendance. Inevitably, you can still apply for excused absences (this may change depending on the course operation methods of the fall semester).
