COVID-19 Situation after Chuseok Holiday

South Korea reported record-high 3,271 cases of COVID-19 on last Friday, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA).

Health authorities predicted new cases may sharply rise from the middle of this week due to delta variants and the aftermath of a mass migration during the Chuseok holiday period.

 

 

Please comply with the prevention guidelines, such as wearing masks, refraining from going out, gathering with others, and going on a trip to other regions for a while. Please look through the following information. Thank you for your cooperation. 

 

 

1. Social Distancing Level

<Level 4> Seoul Metropolitan Area : 4 people allowed until 6 p.m.; 2 people allowed after 6 p.m. for private gatherings

<Level 3> Non-Metropolitan Area including Sejong and Daejeon : Only 4 people allowed for private gatherings

 

2. Operating hours of Sejong City Hall Screening Center

- Sejong Public Health Center : 044-301-2840

- If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, testing can be conducted 09:00~12:00 in the morning and 13:30~16:30 in the afternoon.

 

3. Restrictions on Attending School and Report Procedure

If you are having a fever or respiratory symptoms (sore throat, cough, etc.) after visiting domestic regions or places with major infection rates or are notified that you have been in close contact with COVID-19, you shouldn’t come to school but rather report to the contact below in case you correspond to the cases above.

<COVID-19 Report Procedures>

① Suspicious symptoms occur (fever or respiratory symptoms)

② Take your EAR temperature at following sites

   - KDIS Information Desk / Healthcare Room Entrance

   - 1st Floor Main Lobby in the Dormitory building 101 & 102

③ If your temperature is higher than 37.5°C, go to the temporary isolation room (2nd ?oor of the Central Building) immediately. 

In case of dormitory residents:

· Single room student: stay in your room and report via phone or email

· Double room student: go to the temporary isolation room in the dormitory and report via phone or email

④ Report to situation room via phone or email (Do NOT visit healthcare room or school offices)

⑤ Get a COVID-19 Test if necessary according to the guidance of Sejong Public Health center or KCDC

⑥ When you go to the testing center, ask for an ambulance or take a taxi. Make sure to record the number plate of your taxi and don’t ride a bus.

⑦ Self-Quarantine until the results come out
