Dear members of KDI School,

South Korea will gradually ease the restrictions with a new scheme of "Living with COVID-19" from November 1st.

Under the scheme, private gatherings of up to 10 people in Seoul metropolitan area and 12 people in the non-metropolitan area (including Sejong) regardless of vaccinationwill be allowed in the first stage of the scheme. And the ceiling will be completely gone by the third stage.

For those who have not completed vaccination, up to 4 people are allowed to use cafes and restaurants while restrictions on the operation hours will be completely lifted.
However, the government will maintain mandatory masks both inside and outdoors until further notice.

The authorities will introduce the "vaccine pass" system, which requires a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test result for entry into multi-use facilities, such as entertainment facilities and indoor gyms.
Please note that KDI School will announce the details of the scheme later.

Meanwhile, Seoul city will conduct strict control in Hongdae, Itaewon, Gangnam station during the Halloween weekend. Please avoid visiting the crowded places such as clubs and bars located in Daejeon as well.

Please be aware that we need you to act responsibly so that we can keep everyone safe and as healthy as possible this winter.

It is strongly recommended that you do not host or attend any Halloween parties. Please always wear a mask when you are indoors in public places.

Last but not least, please be aware that infections can occur at any time and anywhere if these three conditions are present: close contact, enclosed spaces and gatherings when people are in close proximity to one another. We appreciate your attention and kind cooperation. Thank you.
