#news#findplace#forPeopleofcolor | Back in the month of may this year, tiktoker and media personality, Patrick Ramos wad physically and verbally apprehended for filming a sign that explicitly stated no foreigners allowed in a venue in Itaewon. After th video went viral, an outpour of people sharing their similar experience wigth discrimination in Kores and being turned away at venues like bars and clubs.
#news#findplace#forPeopleofcolor | This held true a lot of foreigners in Korea but mostly foreginers that are people of color(POC). so in a true 21st century activism, another tiktoker, Kirsten keels collaborated with other POC media personalities and everyday peeps to bring about a list of safe spaces. Unique situations, aptly titled, contains names and contact info of bars and clubs and spaces that are POC safe and at times LGBTQ+ safe. The list is cpmprehensive and contains different cities in Korea and Jeju island. The list is available at both of the tiktokers's accounts mentioned above.

However, according to Universal Declaration of Human Right(UDHR) urges us not to infringe on one;s human rights due to discrimination. Therefore, we must not forget that Korea, as a member of the United Nations, must comply with ANTI-DISCRIMINATION!
