Greetings from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management and the World Bank's Development Impact Group.
We're thrilled to announce the 5th Development Impact Conference, a collaborative effort between the KDI School of Public Policy and Management and the World Bank DIME. Mark your calendars for November 14-15, 2024, as we gather in the vibrant city of Seoul, Korea. This event serves as a hub for high-quality academic research and rigorous impact evaluations of development programs conducted in developing countries. It fosters dialogue among policymakers, development practitioners, donors, and researchers, all united by a shared goal: to enhance the effectiveness of development policies. While all development topics are welcome, we will give particular consideration to papers on the following topics:
🌿 Climate Change, Energy, and the Environment
🏛️ Conflict, Fragile States, and Governance
🏥 Social Protection, Education, and Health
🌾 Agriculture and Food Security
🛠️ Labor Markets and Employment
💳 Financial Inclusion and Digital Transformation
👩🤝👩 Gender and Inclusive Development
The past conference programs can be found for 2023, 2022 and 2021.
We also invite graduate students to submit a research paper or extended abstract with preliminary findings for a lightning session, featuring a 5-minute presentation for each speaker, followed by a poster session providing further opportunities to share their research with conference attendees.
Keynote Speaker
We are excited to have Professor Nishith Prakash, from Northeastern University, as our keynote speaker.
