Jeong Yeol Kim holds a Ph.D. in Economics and brings a diverse professional background to his academic research. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked for over nine years at SK Telecom and served as an infantry officer in the Republic of Korea Army. His research focuses on antitrust policy, with particular interests in AI and collusion, information sharing and collusion, personalized pricing and predatory pricing, the effects of multi-jurisdictional leniency policies, as well as optimal decision-making and portfolio management under uncertainty. He was a recipient of the 2023 Antitrust Writing Awards and was nominated for the 2024 Antitrust Writing Awards in consecutive years. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, contributing to the academic field through research and teaching in antitrust policy and behavioral/experimental economics.
