Park, Angela Y.S.

Public management, Urban/Local Sustainability and Governance

Angela Park is an Assistant Professor at KDI School of Public Policy and Management. She received her B.A. from the University of Queensland, Australia, her Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from Michigan State University, and her Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Kansas.
Angela's research focuses on unraveling implementation challenges and governance issues, especially in the context of urban sustainability. Her recent research works appear in journals, such as the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Public Administration Review, and Policy Studies Journal. Angela has also won several awards, including the Leonard D. White Award (2020) for the best dissertation in the field of public administration by the American Political Science Association (APSA) and Staats Emerging Scholar Award (2018) by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). Outside of work, she relishes hiking and traveling with her family, including her loving and quick-witted daughter.
