On May 8th, 2024, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a gathering of KDI alumni brought together Roque Luiz Wandenkolk (2013 MDP) and Mr. Seok Kim (2013 MPM) for an evening of celebration and reminiscing. Wandenkolk, a current representative of the Brazilian KDI Alumni, had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Kim, a fellow KDI alumnus and participant in the Global Industrial Conference organized by GICA.

"I met Roque in Rio, Brazil, and talked on the phone with Paulo Ogliari (2013 MPP) who is living in Brasília, Brazil. We all studied at KDIS in 2013, and after ten years, we met up to enjoy dinner together. They are working in the Brazilian government, Ministry of Economy," said Seok Kim.

Currently serving in South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Mr. Kim's visit to Rio presented a perfect opportunity for these graduates, separated by geographical distance but united by their KDI experience, to reconnect. The evening unfolded with a warm gathering, filled with conversations about their time at KDI, their respective careers, families, and current endeavors. As the night progressed, they celebrated the global network of KDI alumni, a community that transcends borders and fosters connections across the world. The celebratory dinner at the Grand Hyatt Hotel undoubtedly capped off a memorable evening for these graduates.
