- Collaboration and Response Between Civil Society and Government: A Comparative Study of Vietnam and South Korea This project aims to examine the relationship between civil society organisations (CSOs) and governments in Vietnam and South Korea, focusing on their collaboration and responses to state policies. The specific objectives include: Analyse the Role of CSOs – Investigate how CSOs contribute to governance, policy advocacy, and social development in both countries. Examine Government-CSO Interactions – Assess the nature of collaboration, negotiation, and conflict between CSOs and the government in different policy areas. Identify Challenges and Opportunities: Explore the barriers CSOs face in engaging with the state and highlight opportunities to enhance their impact. Compare and Contrast – Provide a comparative analysis of Vietnam and South Korea to identify key differences, similarities, and best practices in government-CSO relations. Policy Recommendations – Offer evidence-based recommendations for strengthening civil society engagement in governance and policymaking.
