- From Ancient Cities to Smart Cities! Transforming millennial Aztecs, Mayas and Incas Cities into Smart Cities! The SDG No. 11 claims to “Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable”. This goal might meet both ancient cities and new smart cities characteristics. With this in common, it is not impossible to think about ancient cities evolving into smart cities that address modern urban challenges, including climate change, sustainability, and urban resilience. Nowadays, historic cities such as Rome, Athens, and Beijing have already started integrating smart technologies while preserving their cultural heritage. The primary objectives are: Environmental Impact Assessment & Mitigation: Analyze the ecological consequences of migration-related waste and develop sustainable waste management strategies.
